BIOS UPDATE ERROR IN PREDATOR i9 13th gen 13900hx RTX4070

I recently bought the acer predator i9 13th gen 13900hx RTX4070, I faced screen freezing issues while browsing through the internet. While trouble shooting that issue I ended up updating all the required drivers, one major advice was to update the Bios to the latest firmware. Unfortunately every time I try to run the file I am greeted with a pop up that says SEARCH FOR APP IN THE STORE? which doesn't allow me to update the Bios.

You are not trying to download BIOS from Acer Support, Go to the Acer Support and type in your full model not the CPU or GPU, just the full name of your Predator model like Predator Helios Neo PHN16-71 or Predator Triton 500 PT515-52 there are hundreds of different Acer Predator laptop models. I believe you may have this model: Predator Helios 16 PH16-71, look at back of your laptop or type System in the Search bar and look in System Summary, the top 6 rows for "System Model" type that model name in this link without Predator just the number first. If you still cannot find the BIOS post your model here or copy the System screen and we will find the link for you. https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/drivers-and-manuals

You should not download or install any drivers or BIOS, Windows11 is doing all that, tell us about the issue you were having, and we will tell you how to fix it. 😉
