Chane CPU Acer v3-772G is it possible to change the CPU of this device with a newer and faster CPU?
I have an Acer v3-772G laptop that has an Intel Core i7MQ 2.2GHz CPU and 16GB Ram. Is it possible to change the CPU of this device with a newer and faster CPU?

The 2.3GHz Core i7-4712MQ (2014) tested in Benchmark, is a little bit faster but this is still a 4th generation chipset and Microsoft wants at least 8th generation for Windows 11 support. This is the only CPU upgrade I could find on the web for your motherboard. If you want a better laptop, buy a laptop with a12th generation CPU.

If you want to upgrade to a faster cpu the only compatible Socket G3 and better performing cpu tin the 4th gen range for this laptop is the is MX range cpu's for your laptop, but be careful, as these MX series cpu's will run hotter and will suck allot more power and strain the oem V3772G mainboard. The top of the range MX cpu Socket G3 is the Core i7-4940MX which runs at a standard frequency of 3.1 GHz to a turbo boost of 4.0 GHz / has an L2 cache of 1MB / and an L3 cache of 8MB / and a TPD of 57W. These cpu's used on eBay are like USD $160 and are not cheap for a laptop like the V3-772G to spend that sort of money on.
The best way that you should upgrade an old laptop like the V3-772G is to just add an SSD drive as with 16GB this laptop will run Win-10 Home and Win-10 Pro comfortably and its not worth you spending allot of money on an upgrade for this laptop, you be much better off buying an Aspire that is Win-11 compatible and has the latest cpu and ram specs and even a dedicated cpu.
