Types of RAM supported by Aspire 7A715-51G-529E? I'd like to upgrade the ram.

Hi:

I have an Aspire 7 A715-51G-529E on the way to me with 8GB RAM. I'd like to upgrade the ram.

I know that PC4-25600 ram is supported, but the I5-1240P also supports:

Up to DDR5 4800 MT/s
Up to LPDDR5 5200 MT/s
Up to LPDDR4x 4267 MT/s

are any of these other types supported on the A715-51G-529E?

if so, is there any benefit to using anything other then DDR4 3200 on this machine?

Hi,

Yes, i5-1240 P supports DDR5, LPDDR5 and LPDDR4 in suitable motherboards but your motherboard supports only DDR4 modules, DDR5 modules have different number of pins in them, LPDDR5 and LPDDR4 modules can only be soldered to the motherboards, so you have to stick with DDR4 3200 modules for the upgrade.
