Does this work?

The Predator has only 2 graphic slots…but there's seems to be a big space between them, i.e. the new Nvidia RTX 4090 (3-slot) could fit!?

(Does the board support it and slows it down?)

Thanks a lot for any advice 😁

Specs for the PO9-900 models say "It supporting 4-Way NVIDIA® SLITM and AMD CrossfireXTM technology that allows you to install two graphic cards with identical GPU running at PCIe Gen 3 speed." So, you can populate two GPUs in the motherboard, but they need to both be the same kind. So if you want to add an RTX 4090, you would want to use two of them. Otherwise a second 1070 or 1080 to match what yours came with would work, allowing gaming on more monitors…

The 40 series NVidia gpu cards will fit as you have plenty of room for even 2x double width gpu cards for the AMD CrossfireXTM technology and single with for the 4-Way NVIDIA® SLITM, which is together with 3x M.2 SSD drives installed, as the PO9-900 mainboard is designed for such high-end applications.

    PO9-900 Main-board Placement Details

    Version - MB V1.0 mainboard

    Version - MB V1.1 mainboard

These are the Acer listed oem gpu's for the PO9-900 desktop

Thanks both!!! Acer support also confirmed:
"The device was originally only tested with the RTX 3090, as the RTX 4090 was not yet on the market at the time of publication. Therefore, we cannot make any binding statements about compatibility with the RTX 4090.

From a technical point of view, however, there is nothing that speaks against installing the RTX 4090. The 1000 watt power supply should provide sufficient power and the mainboard is compatible with the graphics card. However, it is important to pay attention to temperatures that may occur. Installing a more powerful graphics card may require better cooling, such as stronger fans or an optimized cooling system. Please ensure your system is adequately cooled to ensure stable operation."
