Im using an acer aspire 5750G laptop and i have got a new router and connected it through a lan cable . For couple somedays it was working very well, and now the Lan drivers gets disconnected after some time whenever i open steam or online games .Than when i checked in the network settings it says no internet when it is actually working. so i tried restarting the laptop and disable & enable the driver and it works for some time and the same issue appears.

i also tried troubleshooting it in the settings in the "network adapter" and it was saying the issue was solved but after some time the same issue apeears . And it says in the troubleshooting that there is "default gateaway not found" but my lan cable and router are working very well.

also tried re installing the lan driver and the older version but same issue.

Thanks for the help

A "no internet connection" warning suggests a connection problem between the router and your internet service provider, NOT between the router and the 5750G. Means nothing seems wrong with the 5750G. So instead of restarting the 5750G, try turning the router off, then on again.

hey jack thx for the help. But the thing is my router is fine cause my laptop works on the wifi but not on lan. I tried troubleshooting the error and its giving me "default gateaway not available". so when i disable and re enable the driver it works. But when i open any online games first it loads and than the driver stops working. In the network settings it says "no internet" but there is internet . Ill take reply in consideration and try resetting m router

    Thanks

Doesn't matter if the router's wifi-ip internet gateway address is stable. It's the router's lan-ip internet gateway address that's changing. When the 5750G is reset, it simply uses the router's new lan-ip address until it changes again. Try re-setting the router instead.

Not sure why it's changing. Do you have other devices that might be relying on the router's wifi internet interface at the same time the 5750G is relying on its lan interface? The router's lan & wifi internet IP gateways might have to be configured separately. What router model do you have? Do you have a router owner's manual?
