The hinge is broken and costly to repair, consider bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country and ask them for a repair cost estimate, in the US it would cost at least $200 for a new panel and hinge assembly but in other parts of the world it may be much cheaper, is it worth to spend $200 on 3-year-old laptop? You may be able to patch it up with industrial epoxy cement, contact a computer repair shop if they can fix it for less.

Make sure you don't put enough stress on that to break the screen itself before attempting any repairs. Assuming you are out of warranty, you can often rebuild the screw mounts for the hinges to alleviate the problem. There are six screws that hold the hinge to the case half:

If you remove the two hinges, then fill that area in with a hard setting epoxy, then replace the hinges and clamp them in place until the epoxy has completely set it will often last much longer than the stock setup. Make sure you are not using a glue that doesn't fully harden, if it's got any flex the issue will just reappear.

To make sure it doesn't happen again, be sure to always open and close slowly from the center of the screen. Too fast or off center puts additional stress on the hinge mounts, which is what causes the issue in the first place.

Just another method that you can fix a broken hinge bottom case problem (which all of these laptops have problems with) you can use hot glue, DO NOT use epoxy glues or resins, fiberglass etc etc as they don't work ONLY USE HOT GLUE but don't apply the hot glue with a hot glue gun, but heat the hot glue stick with either a butane torch or a soldering hot gun as you need the temp to be at 500c so that the glue stick melts to a flowing thin liquid (this is very important, as that is the secret to a permanent fix) and then apply it to the broken hinge areas, as applying the hot glue in this manner the hot glue will adhere to the bottom case and secure the hinge as well as if the hinge was screwed onto the bottom case and its a very secure methos and lats indefinitely, trust me as I've done this method allot of times and it works 100% and it's the cheapest and quickest way to fix these dreaded hinge problems that these laptops seem to get from constant lid opening and closing.

Otherwise, and if you don't want to do it the hot glue way, get a new bottom case and replace all the components from the broken bottom case onto the new case, which is a big job. Below are the Swifts laptops both silver and gold bottom case Acer part numbers, so search the web with the Acer part numbers.

Apply the hot glue to the broken red circled hinge areas together with its screw's half fixed if its possible, then while the glue is hot put the top case onto the hot glue to sandwich the two together until the hot glue dies, then remove the top cover, this is the best way to fix a broken hinge.

Oops, be aware that 500C will melt your case, if not catch it on fire! Maybe they meant 500F?

500c does not melt the case or any laptop plastics, as you point the gun onto the glue stick above the laptop first, and when the glue stick begins to melt into a liquid is when you put the glue stick closer to the hinge momentarily and until the glue melts to a liquid and applies itself to the hinge area.

I've done this many times with fixing hinges, but of course you don't point the 500C heat gun for a long time onto the laptop top case or bezel, as 500C will melt plastic components very easily but you need to be careful and quick. The whole secret with fixing hinges with a glue stick is to quickly melt the glue to 500C and apply the glue like a thin liquid onto the hinge area and then sandwich the bottom case with the hinge and its securing screws with the top case/keyboard panel pressing down onto the glued area until it dries. Its a very simple process.
