Cannot update driver on ACER all-in-one ...... Please help!

HI, I have an ACER all-in-one desktop. It has a GeForce GT240 1024MB graphics card. Please tell me how I can update it. My son desperately wants to play Minecraft, but it will not play unless graphics card is updated. Apparently these all-in-ones have a graphics card built in to the motherboard, but surely there must be a way of updating it. Any help would be much appreciated. Tracey

Microsoft Windows has a built-in "search for an updated driver" feature.  If that doesn't work for you, you can try the chipset manufacturer's web site.  Acer download provided a little program which identifies the on=board chip manufacturer for my Z3731, but I don't know if it works for all Acer All-in-One's.  I found that my system was having graphics issues because of a C++ library from Microsoft which was not updated along with a driver update I had installed from Intel.  Driver support is somewhat of a "balck art" and there are a lot of "claiming to be helpful" if only you pay me sites which will take your money and end up not helping or providing drivers which have been reengineered by folks wanting to gain a foothold on your system, so it is Caveat Emptor out there when it comes to reputable help.

The problem with an All-in-One is that there typically are not any "slots" for replacing major components like the graphics system which is built into the motherboard.  The would'nt even provide documentation for the process of taking the case apart when I asked them back when my system was under warranty and I wanted to upgrade the RAM from 4gb to 8gb, the maximum they had indicated possible for my system. I have yet to disassemble the case to find out whether I have two open slots for 2gb chips I ordered or whether I have to swap out the old RAM in order to do the upgrade.  IMHO Acer does a terrible job of supporting technically saavy end users.

This is a link to Nvidias driver download section. Select your system info on the dropdowns and it will direct you to the latest drivers for your video card.
