Unable to connect bluetooth headphones to Aspire R5 571T
No Bluetooth toggle in Win10 Settings
No Bluetooth listing in Device Manager (so no way to update drivers)
Lots of (potentially connectable) devices listed in Win10 Settings - but options are all greyed-out!?
Bottom of laptop shows ID of installed WAN/Bluetooth module

Suggestions?

Aside: On "Downloading & Installing drivers..." webpage, Acer has bad link ("Acer Drivers and Manuals page") which, bizarrely, re-directs to marketing featuring "Predator Helios Neo 16" ... probably NOT the drivers I need! ARGGGHH!

You have to install one of the suitable below Bluetooth driver for the card that you have, as the Bluetooth has to come up in Device Manager in Control Panel > Programs and in the Win-10 taskbar on the left "Show Hidden Icons", as unless you have the Bluetooth icons showing in these locations the Bluetooth driver is not installed and it will not work. That is why your BT headphones don't work.

Which Wi-Fi/BT card do you have in your Aspire R5-571T laptop, as there are 4 different cards that were fitted to these laptops with 3 of them that use the Atheros driver and 1 card that uses the Intel driver below:

    1. For the Intel WLAN 7265 - driver version 19.10.1635.0483 - Download here
    2. For the Foxconn NFA344A or NFA344A Liteon or NFA344A HAI - driver version 10.0.0.281 - Download here

The above drivers are all the Bluetooth drivers for all the Wi-Fi/BT cards that were fitted to your Aspire R5-571T laptop

For some of the latest Atheros Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers for Win-10, go to this site called Qualcomm Atheros Drivers as they have some of the latest Win-10 drivers for the Atheros cards for your Aspire R5-571T laptop.

Worked a charm … Thank you!

    Two comments:

    1) After 3+ decades using Windows, this is 1st time IME a device actually installed was "invisible" to OS in DevMgr; not good IMO.

    2) Would be handy if Acer could somehow embed info re installed devices/processors as a permanent text file accessible somewhere on PC (ala Windows "System/Device Specifications") besides printing it in off-white 0.03 font type on a light gray plastic base. Extremely challenging for 76 yo eyes!
