I have an SF114-34 running Windows 11, suddenly the WiFi has gone off completely, in device manager it shows an orange triangle next to Intel WiFi 6 AX201, I cannot find a driver for it on the Acer website and I have to use a USB WiFi adapter to get on the internet. Can anyone help? I have tried uninstalling all the network adapters from device manager and then reinstalling but this hasn't worked. Thanks

On the Acer support site the driver is called "Wireless LAN Driver (AX201)". You might have to scroll down, since it's the last driver in the list.

    hi

had a hard time fixing my laptop and thought i post here in case this helps you or someone.

Had the same problem just yesterday and heres how I resolved my problem. #SF114-34 #AX201 #Wifi

    1. download the AX201 driver listed in Acer Drivers and Manual page
    2. https://www.acer.com/sg-en/support and scroll down

    3. key in model number of laptop

    4. Scroll down the list of drivers and click Load More (it is the last in the list)

    5. when you see the AX201 line, swipe to the right on phone or move cursor to the right to see the download link.

    6. Download the driver into thumbdrive with another computer (neighbour) and transfer to the problem laptop

    7. Next i tried many ways like disable problem driver or uninstall etc. so not very sure what works exactly here but using Device Manager, I installed the new driver downloaded in step 6, by “Add Driver” using local system (not automatically or via windows update since all those wont work without internet). Also, I opened the folder of the downloaded file new driver and doubleclick on the setup driver file and it install again via command prompt. Just to make sure it really really install!

    7. At this time there is still a yellow sign on the AX201 adaptor in device manager

    8. next is tricky as it works different values for different wifi (depending on ur wifi 1g fibre/2g network / 5g network)

    9. doubleclick the faulty adaptor in device manager and look under the Advanced tab as below:

    10. need to look for the correct value for property XXX11a/b/g that works with your wifi. for me, i changed from number 6. to 4. (2.4ghz xx11a/g)

    11. then at the second property i changed to 802.11n/ac, i changed to XX.n or XX.ax

    12. this should refresh the adaptor to attempt connection again (using new installed driver and changed property values)

    13. the target here is to see Bluetooth being detected first!

    14. at the network and connections icon where “wifi” icon disappeared, you can see “airplane mode” AND “Bluetooth” now

    15. if cannot, shutdown and startup the probem laptop again

    16. Once I got that, I had to change the second property again to “disabled”

    17. Suddenly adaptor refreshes with no error and wifi icon comes back so is internet

    18. the steps is to match the correct property values with your network (mine is singtel fibre 1G) and turns out that when it tries to detect 5G network, it auto error out and the wifi gets “disappear” hidden mode. Changing the property values, forces the laptop to try looking for 2.4G instead.

    19. if the values doesnt work for you, sadly its to trial and error the combination. i tried very long believe me. hopefully someone expert can explain why, but i have no concrete idea
