Turn off your Touchpad (F6 or key with a pad) and try another mouse, wired PS/2 or BT (USB), if still the same problem, turn the Touchpad back on and uninstall the mouse driver in Device manager (HID-Compliant mouse) and make sure you are connected to the internet. Reboot and Windows will reinstall the mouse driver. If other mice work, you have a bad mouse.

Tried several ways but of no use, attaching external mouse is also having same effect . Updated the chipset, I/O, touchpad driver also then to same problem.

After reaching to bottom of any page or document through auto scrolling it's not taking back to the top through slider also , ends up at the bottom only

If reinstalling the mouse driver by Windows did not fix it, you have a hardware issue. Best to bring the laptop to Acer Services in your country.

    Thanks for your assistance.

  • Hi @Mohit_Gupta go to the control panel - troubleshooting.

Should I try an external wireless or wired mouse to the USB port?

    Thank you.
    Al the best.

Hello Alejandro_AC tried that too still face same problem.

  • Excuse my English, I use a translator, so I understand that it is the same problem if you use the touchpad, a wireless mouse or a wired mouse?

Do you have Windows 10 or Windows 11? Before thinking about a physical problem, is Windows the one provided from the factory or did you upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10?

Did I make any hardware changes to the computer such as memory expansion or disk change?

    Thank you.
    All the best.

Windows provided from factory and was on windows 10 now upgrading to windows 11 don't want to reset it to previous checkpoint that's why

  • Check if it also happens, to rule out a hardware problem, by entering Windows in safe mode:

    Thanks everyone for the assistance.

It was the page down key that was held continuously while checking with online keyboard tester, after running the troubleshooter for keyboard also nothing showed up as suspicious.

  • Thanks for sharing.
