I have a Acer Laptop A715-42g with processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics, Octacore, 16 GB RAM, and NVIDEA GeForce RTX 3050. My concern is it's showing only 1.80 ghz speed. After watching few yt videos i learned that I can try to change that. When i go to msconfig boot options i see my laptop's number of processors is set at 1 but i can change it to 16. Should i change the number of processors? If so, how much would be perfect?

There are two RAM SODIMM slots, which support up to 32GB of DDR4 memory in dual-channel mode. It looks like you are running in single channel mode at 1800MHz, the Ryzen 7 clock speed is 1667MHz so did you add 8GB to the existing 8GB DDR4 module or did you replace it for 1x16GB module? Best to buy a kit 2x8GB that has been tested in Benchmark or duplicate the original 8GB module.
https://ram.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/956877/Hynix-HMA81GS6DJR8N-XN-2x8GBThis will run in Dual Channel mode at 2667 MHz. Careful with mixing RAM modules as Ryzen 7 can be finnicky with that.

Don't change advanced boot options in MSConfig, that is always set to 1 processor see picture (I have 20 cores, 12th Gen. i7).

it's a 1x16 GB module. As for the rest you can see the ss. Thank you!

Your speed is 3200MHz not 1800Mhz that you wrote? somehow that 1x16MHz module runs at maximum clock speed. Unless CPU-Z shows something different (1.8 GHz)? Ryzen7 can be unpredictable with Ram running in Dual Channel mode. 😀

I meant this when i raised up my concern. But i think i figured it out now: so it's just the base clockspeed and it will automatically rise/aadjust according to the workload. Did i get it right?

Also, is it safe to share the following info in the ss with others ?
