Hi. I have ACER TravelMate laptop model P215-41-G2-R6G9 with Ryzen 7 5850u. 16 GB x2 were added instead.

Problem: the notebook shuts down unexpected if I watch youtube with bluetooth headset on.

if I use completely default configuration with 8Gb memory the notebook works stable.

Seems like increased memory affects notebook stable work especially just shut down.

The issue stable reproduces with the Windows 11 and Linux Ubuntu platform.

Could you please help me to solve this issue?

Thank you in advance!

  • How much total ram do you have installed in your laptop now? Have you upgraded the ram with another 1x 8GB stick of ram? As if you did then the 2nd ram module is probably the wrong ram spec and your laptop turns off because of that.

This is your laptops memory specs and ram modules:

Only upgrade to these ram modules listed here:

Did you upgrade with a DDR4 kit of 2 identical DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8 • PC4-25600? Ryzen can be very finnicky with mixed RAM modules. Check Event viewer for errors at the time of a crash if you see a reference to a memory, driver or power issue. RAM is the first suspect, take out one DDR4 module and try 1 x 16GB if that stops the crashing. Also make sure internet is working and refresh your system image with (elevated) Command Prompt Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth that should complete, rerun if it stalls. Then in the same Command Prompt type SFC /scannow and that should complete with "Found no integrity violations" rerun till you get that.

1st thank you for your answers.

I installed 2 DDR4 16Gb SODIMM 260 pin 1.2V. if used even single SODIMM 16 Gb the laptop powers off randomly also. Yes the modules of 16 Gb SODIMM are the same. In the event viewer the error message appears about power disappear unexpectedly. I have Kingston memory modules with Samsung chip as I know. Total ram with 16Gb x2 - after this I have 32 Gb ram because this is max tech spec for this laptop.

as I understood i have to by only Hynix SO-DIMM 16 Gb specific for this laptop. Is this correct?
