I have two laptops - a spin 5 and a spin 3 - both of them the USB C ports dont work. They cant be used to charge the battery, nor will it connect monitors or recognise usb devices.

When the spin 3 failed - I thought it might just be failing usb c ports - but now my spin 5 has failed too.

Ive uninstalled usb ports, updated BIOS, Ive done good search trying to find out what is going on

Any ideas?

Not every SPIN USB-C port has Thunderbolt power delivery, Spin 3, SP314-54N-59ZF supports Thunderbolt 3 and can be charged with a USB-C charger. If you tried to charge via the USB-C port of an older SPIN model or a Spin 5 Laptop - SP513-54N-74V2 that don't have Thunderbolt you damaged the USB port and probably some other parts too. I recommend you bring the laptops to Acer Services in your country to check the USB ports.

There have been lots of Spin 3 and 5 models over the years. They all have different specs. Which ones do you have?
