Hello, I bought today horizon zero dawn, and on the lowest possible graphics settings game uses 3.7 GB VRAM,and I have the gpu which has 4 GB VRAM. And my question is that: it is safe to play this game, when this game use so much GB Vram. It wont damage my graphics card, or other parts of my computer?

P.S: I have acer nitro 5 with rtx 3050 and i5 11400. Game is running on 60 fps. I noticed while playing horizon, that laptop doesnt get very hot, compared to other games.

You need to install the NVidia GeForce Experience software as this specialist NVidia software will notify you of the RTX3050 new gpu software updates and it will apply the ultimate settings for the RTX3050 for this game (also, this software has over 1500 game) and it includes the "Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition" ultimate settings, so install this software and the latest RTX3050 Win-11 graphics software (make sure you are using Win-11 on your Nitro laptop, don't use Win-10!) then go to the NVidia Control Panel and change the Program Settings of the game > "Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition" to run on the High-performance NVidia processor, as doing all this will make your games and software run at their peak performance.

Also, make sure that you have Windows Update to its current updates and if you have an Intel CPU then install the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and run the scan so that it updates all the appropriate Intel software drivers or if you have an AMD CPU then install their latest software, as doing all this will make your Nitro laptop work to its peak and best performance with gaming and all software.

Btw, I've got a Nitro laptop with an RTX3050 4GB GDDR6 gpu and with an Intel i7-11375 CPU and I speak from personal experience, as all that I've suggested to you above I've done myself to my laptop and my laptop works perfectly with high end games and never ever had BSODs or crashes, because you need to keep the software's and bios and firmware updated to these laptops.

Thanks for the help, but I have question: It s not dangerous that game is running on 3.7 GB VRAM when I have 4 GB VRAM on my gpu?

  • When the RTX3050 GPU 4GB memory runs out, it can cause slower performancelower FPS, and lag in games or applications. The GPU may also try to use the system RAM or stream data from the disk, but this is much slower than the GDDR6 memory.

Some possible ways to clear GPU memory or prevent it from running out are:

    • Lowering the graphics settings or resolution of the game or application
    • Closing other programs that use GPU memory
    • Updating the GPU drivers
    • Increasing the system RAM or disk space
