I just purchased an Acer Aspire 5 A515-57T-53VS. This is new in the box and sealed from a local warehouse club that had it on sale. Usually when i get a new system I run Windows Update a coupl eof times to make sure all is up to date. However after several updates I seem to be stuck at Win 11, 21H2/OS build 22000.2360. When i run Windows update it insists that I am up to date. It also states this was updated and installed on Aug 26, which may be due to the fact that the clock was off and I had to change time zones, so the system date is now Aug 25.

This OS has an end of life in October of this year.

Should I be patient and wait for the computer to figure this out, or should I locate the Windows 11, 22H2 OS update at Microsoft and run that manually.

I ran the troubleshooter and I did get a yellow triangle but it said that the issue had been resolved. This is new so resetting is an option.

Suggestions? Or will I get Win11 22H2 soon? I have a licensed copy of MS Office LTSC I want to install but I am holding while this issue is resolved.

As you wrote, W11 21H2 will no longer receive security updates after October 10, 2023. You should get the 22H2 upgrade after a few days. Meanwhile you can check some things like refreshing the system (image): Go online and run this in the Command Prompt:
    Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth then run this command same window: SFC /scannow
Both these 2 commands should complete successfully and with "Found no integrity violations" rerun the commands till to get that.
Clean Windows updates and caches, Open Storage Sense and let it scan your boot drive. Click on the Temporary Bin at the bottom of Storage Sense windows and let it scan, it may find hundreds of GB redundant files like OldDos that you can all safely delete. Check optional Updates if you don't see that option in "Check for updates", activate that. Uninstall 3rd party AV programs and make sure all security options in Defender are working with a green check mark.

Check in BIOS if TPM is turned on and Secure Boot.
Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter (I believe you did that?)
Enable the Dependency Services for the Windows Modules Installer service (Automatic start for all these services).
Check in Device Manager for any outdated drivers or yellow exclamation marks/Unknown Devices. Update and uninstall unwanted drivers.

As a last resort: only if you are not offered to upgrade to 22H2 for >1-2 weeks:
Use Installation Assistant: Go to https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/fr-fr/fr-fr/software-download/windows11 click on the Download button for Windows 11 installation assistant. Once the file is downloaded, launch the Windows11InstallationAssistant.exe to install the program. Your laptop will now pass some hardware checks, and once that is done, click on the Accept and install button. Depending on your network this process may take several hours to complete, so please ensure your laptop stays on and plugged-in during this time.

Also opted to disconnect a few peripherals on a USB hub (back-up drive, etc) since that was also recommended on other tech sites.

    Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Did this and it passed OK

    SFC /scannow
I let this run late and went to bed since it takes a while. When I got up it said there were some file corruptions that were fixed.

    Closed CMD prompt and Restarted.

I then went to Windows Update and 22H2 was offered.

It has since been downloaded and installed as well as some supplementary additional updates up through August 2023

So as of now I do not think I will need to go further for debugging. So far so good.

This is a nice Acer model and the RAM compliment works well. The Restart is rather quick compared to my old Dell on Win10.

Thanks for this assistance. It was spot on.

PS - My multiple license of MS Office is not taking but that is a call to Microsoft. Gad... ! 😫
