Hi I am able to pair my laptop to my sound system Marantz SR5010 but it will not play, I have tried everything even had a geek from Geek on wheels but no use, it pairs but doesn't transmit sound to amp. My samsung mobile phone has no problem connecting which is why I think there must be a setting somewhere on my laptop pteventing connectivity.

Your question is fine, but you missed out in telling us what is your laptops model number and what Wi-Fi/BT card does it have, as that is very important. There are some cards that have Bluetooth problems so be aware of that also.

NOTE: to play back music from a Bluetooth device on your Marantz SR5010 Receiver, the Bluetooth device needs to support the A2DP profile, if the Bluetooth is not pairing with the existing BT, try to roll back the Bluetooth driver in your laptops Device Manager and see if the BT works, as it should and that is what I have to do allot of times with my Nitro AN515-56 laptop for the BT to work or be revived, or you can buy a new USB BT adaptor that has these specs and attach it to the laptops side USB port and see if that will connect instead of the inbuilt Wi-Fi/BT laptop card.

Also be aware that there are connection/driver problems with Intel Killer Bluetooth cards like I've experienced with the Killer AX1650i 6-160hz Wi-Fi/BT card that I've had a Bluetooth problem within in my Nitro 5 AN515-56 laptop since new and out of the box, this laptops Bluetooth new drivers in Win-11 do not work with any other Intel Bluetooth driver except the Acer provided OEM driver the Intel Killer version: 22.40.0.2 but it works with all the latest Intel Killer wireless driver perfectly, so be aware of that, as other Bluetooth cards might have the same problems.

Just on a side note, as I use to have a Marants Quadrophonic Receiver all the way back in 1975, as you should remember that Marantz is an old Japanese Hi-Fi brand, my Receiver was the 1974 Marantz 4240 Quadraphonic Receiver and Quad turntable decoder connected to a Technics SL-1300MKZ Direct Drive Turntable (that played quadraphonics vinyl records, that is how far back I'm going) and that was connected to 4x KEF Concerto speakers in 1975, it cost a fortune in those days, I was 23 years old😁

Many thanks, I've made sure I have all the latest drivers and remember the Marantz pairs with my Samsung A8 phone but I'll try the adapter I'm sure I've got one somewhere. Once again thank you
