So, we bought this computer because I had nothing but luck in the past with acer computers. WHen I got it, it wouldn't keep the charge cord in from the start (we had gotten an extended warranty as well). Sent it in TWICE to fix it and they said nothing was wrong (which should have been replaced since it was new). The first time it came back scratched and they claimed it went to them that way NO WAY!. It is difficult to get to charge now and I'm scared to send it in for repair because they send it back in worse shape than it started! USED to be a loyal acer buyer but NO longer. Andy advice on what I should do?

Cables are usually cheap. Sometimes less trouble and expense just to replace yourself. What cable do you think is bad? Post a phone photo of the bad cable if possible.

Dude! NONE Of the cables work, they replaced the cable BOTH times it was sent in for repair! It's under warranty and they have yet to fix it! It has to be the port.. FROM new it will not stay in! And to change the ports on these types of computers it requires soldering….NOT cheap. And what is cheap to you may not be cheap to the next person. I appreciate you trying to help but coming with a new cord, and replaced when sending laptop into support for repair twice with a cord that will not stay in the port is a REAL issue beyond just the cord….reading all details is so important.

PLUS a replacement cord for this model is at the cheapest $125.

Do you mean the whole charger & its cables? Did you also send the charger & its cables in TWICE along with the laptop for repair?

yes, we did! And these questions are quite rude and degrading to ask…I said I did…why reask?

Because subject heading referred only to bad cable. I suggest a generic charger instead of an exact replacement if you don't want to send back for repair under warranty again.
