Like the title says, I was just watching something on it while it sat on a table and it turned off.

The LEDs will not even go on when it gets plugged in. The power button does nothing.

I removed the bottom panel and unplugged and re-plugged the battery connector and still no luck.

Any ideas? Also if anyone had the same issue do you know if it's worth the $$$ to fix?

Model # is N20C3

Your laptop is NOT recognized by these digits or Model # N20C3 your Predator Helios is recognized by its stated model number of PH315-xx -xxxx number that is on a sticker on the back of the laptop, as giving # N20C3 means nothing as we have no clue what your laptop is???

The best way to reset a dead laptop like yours (if it can be reset and there is nothing else wrong with your laptop) is to not only take the main battery out but to also disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and then shorts its + & - mainboard plug pins (of the bios battery) with a paper clip to reset the CMOS and then you need to also take all the ram modules out, leave the laptop disconnected like that for 1 hour and then reconnect all components and reboot the laptop, as it should reboot and this should reset a frozen Souper IO chip or the laptops chipset

Note: If you have 2x ram modules, then only connect 1x ram module and see if the laptop boots, if it doesn't then try to boot the laptop with the other 1x ram module and see if the laptop boots.

If your laptop does not reboot and all power is not coming on, then you need to take your laptop to either Acer Tech Support or a technician in your area that has the experience and proper tools to fix and diagnose this laptop, as your laptop has issues in its primary power stage of burned/shorted circuitries that need diagnosing and changing, as a use like you can't fix these things by resetting or pressing any keys.

Also, any idea on the cost of that repair you talked about?

It's only 3 years old so I'm pretty upset about the unreliability and poor quality product that Acer released. If I can't fix it in a reasonable price, I'll probably just never buy one of their products again and recommend the same to everyone I know.
