Hi! I'm having some issues with my Acer nitro 5 model AN515-55-59KS

I just installed a 2nd ssd drive, a PNY 1TB drive type M.2 2280 PCle Gen 3 x4 NVMe. I followed the video on how to install it, and it seems to be connected fine. However upon booting up my laptop, it acts like it's not there. I read on some guides that it may have something to do with BIOS, but I'm unsure of how to properly navigate and change things, and I really don't want to mess my pc up on accident.

Any help is appreciated : )

The Nitro AN515-55 laptop both slots at SSD#1 boot and SSD#2 slave are both compatible and can utilize the full read/write speeds of the PCIe 3x4 interface. What you must have done wrong is that you haven't initialized and given it a drive letter to this new M.2 SSD PNY 1TB drive in Disk Management, and that is why its not recognized in Windows File Explorer. Look at this full guide of how to install a new M.2 SSD drive here "M.2 Not Recognized? See How to Make Your M.2 SSD Show Up in Windows"

    AN515-545 storage specs

Initialize M.2 SSD and Create New Partition On It

    #1. Initialize M.2

Step 1. Press the "Windows + R" keys, type "diskmgmt.msc" and click "OK" to open Disk Management.

Step 2. Find and right-click the M.2 SSD, and click "Initialize Disk". If the disk displays as Offline, first right-click it and select Online.

Step 3. Select the M.2 as GPT and click "OK" to accept the changes.
