I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 598S for gaming where I decided to install Debian 12 to try and learn a little bit of linux.
After a week of consecutive fails to make it detect my external monitor I decided to go back to Windows 10 and just run Debian on a VM, so I took my boot USB to reinstall windows but the laptop won't detect it during boot.
I tried plugging it while using Debian normaly and it detects the USB.
I tried making another W10 boot USB while in Debian and it was successful.
I already:
- Enabled F12 Boot Menu
- Set up a BIOS password
- Disabled fast boot
- Disabled secure boot
- Changed SATA Mode from AHCI back to Optane with RAID
- Disabled TPM (TCM) state
- Cleared TPM (TCM)
But no matter what I do, when I try to configure the boot priority order to allow my boot USB it just won't show! It will just show "1." under boot priority order. I tested my boot USB on another device and it's working as it should.
When I click F12 during POST to go to Boot Option Menu it will only show "1. debian" as an option, no USB.
Any ideas?
