I have purchase a laptop, and I want to see what procedures i need to follow regarding the first charges.

I have checked these steps: https://community.acer.com/en/kb/articles/4027-preparing-the-battery-for-first-time-use

but i still havr a few questions:

When I am charging it, just to full? For several hours(even after the battery is full)? Charge for 24h?

When I depleting the battery, should I use it all the way to0%? Or just until the low batrery warning pop up?

And just to confirm the cycle should be:

Charge up

Use and discharge

Charge up again

Discharge

Charge up again

Discharge

Then I can begin normal use

    Hi,

You don't need to charge for 24 hours, you can disconnect AC adapter once the charge reaches 100%, you don't also don't have to drain the battery to 0%, once you get the low battery notification, turn off the laptop and let it rest for few hours to cool down, then reconnect AC adapter and fully charge the battery.

Never ever try to completely deplete any battery (zero Volt), as cells will be dead and you won't be able to recharge the battery. If the Advanced Power setting has not been changed, laptops will not discharge below 4% and turn off automatically (hibernate). Leave the advanced Power Plan settings to factory defaults, Balanced Power Plan is recommended. A new battery needs to be registered, once only, by BIOS and MS ACPI drivers, otherwise Windows battery statistics will be highly inaccurate or left blank. Plug-in your power adapter in the DC barrel port or USB charger in the correct USB-C port that supports PD or has Thunderbolt4 (a small lightening sign next to the port), charge till the amber charge LED turns blue and let it charge a few minutes extra, Boot the laptop and unplug the laptop, verify in Windows Power Plan Advanced settings that the Reserve Battery level is set to 4% both on Power and on Battery. Use the laptop till it turns off (will hibernate at 4%). Plug-in the power adapter and charge again till the amber LED turns blue and give it a few extra minutes before using the laptop. That's it.
