Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58-52A9 Overheating, if repasting this laptop could possibly void its warranty

I recently purchased this gaming laptop like 2-4 weeks ago. The RTX 4050 and i5-12450h performs pretty well when I got it and I've got no complain with it.

Right now though the temperature of it seems a little bit off when I started playing an AAA game, God of War. I used to play games like Minecraft, League of Legends and Roblox without it spiking to 90 Degree Celsius. The photo shown is me literally trying to open a Minecraft on a third party client like Feather client.

I've tried putting the maximum processing thingy in battery plan to 99% and even 50%, it does help but not enough. The idle of it, too, seems a lil bit off. It use to hit like around 30-45 Celsius with low fan, now it's like around 45-50 low fan. Idk if weather affects this as where I live it's currently hitting around 0-16 degree celsius.

Keep in mind this all started happening when I played God of War on Ultra setting, it's a shame cuz it was really smooth in this laptop but now I'm kinda scared trying to play it idk if this sort of thing is normal. Any help would be appreciated!

Also, I wanna know if repasting this laptop could possibly void its warranty as I'm planning to repaste it with something that might help the temperature.

I had the same issue . turns out this is not an actual issue . the temps are usually high on win 11 . i got the same temps as you . It reached sometimes to 92 while playing rdr 2 . and around 78 on idle . Couldnt even hold it in my lap due to the fan blowing hot air . the fix i found was downgrade my windows to 10 and the temps were totally fixed . now having idle temps of 62-66 . the issue is with win 11 not with your laptop . and i would suggest you keep everything on default to avoid any thermal throttling . if you play any aaa games keep the mode to default , battery mode to balanced and fans to max to get optimal fps.

Same issue here with the i7 12650/RTX4060 combo. Playing Doom Eternal and both averaged about 85-90c, with core 3 on the CPU 90-94. Contacted support and they say it's "normal" and that it is designed for it. THey did offer to take it at a repair center and look at it, but since I've just had it for a few days, I'll see how it shakes out. If anything, maybe they can inspect the thermal paste and make sure it's adequate.

Just get a powerful (but silent) 5-fan cooling pad the size of your laptop, it will raise the laptop a bit to improve circulation at the bottom inlet vents and the extra airflow will considerably reduce the overall temperature when you are playing games.

turn off the intergrated graphics, when gaming on the laptop screen it allows the cpu to run its graphics at the same time which in then leads to high temps. in nitro sense in the settings turn on dgpu option then restart laptop. it should then only allow the nvidia gpu to run all graphics. this reduced my temps aswell as dropping the power plan management to the cpu by 15% i game on AAA around mid 70s to low 80s
