acer nitro 5 Battery stops charging

I own a acer nitro 5 , intel i5 11400h ,rtx 3060 , 1 tb ssd , 16 GB ram

when i play games like farcry or subnautica my laptop stops charging the laptop came with a 135W charger idk if its a charger issue or not please help

    I would suspect the power adapter failed or has a bad DC barrel plug, check if the plug fits tightly in the DC jack of your laptop and you feel it clicks when fully inserted. Measure the 20 VDC output at the plug pin with a multimeter. Try another power adapter. Make a Battery Report in Windows and check the latest 100% charge capacity, if that is way below the design capacity a cell died, and you need to replace the battery.

    I don't know which exact laptop you have, is it a Nitro or a Predator, as it would help if you told us the exact model number! But I've got a similar laptop which is a Nitro gaming laptop with the same specs and I play allot of high end games like and for instance a racing game called Assetto Corsa with a steering wheel for hours sometimes on this laptop, which I also play this game on a 10k high end simulator desktop setup and the 135W PSU never drops its charge or its voltage, you must have the game settings wrongly setup or the re is something physically wrong with the adaptor? Check that before you look at the adaptor also. Check and run the laptops latest graphics drivers and also make sure that these games Far Cry and Subnautica you are playing are played through the included NVidia GeForce experience game software that applies the ultimate Nvidia gpu settings for these games. As it seems that your laptop PSU is being strained from the wrong settings. If your settings are in order then look at your 153W charger and change it to a more powerful one like the 185W that these laptops also come with.
