Nitro 5 AN515-46-R56G gaming laptop completely unfuncitonal

Hello guys, I really need your help.

I bought the Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-46-R56G), Gaming-Notebook not too long ago. Now I can’t to anything with it. If I start any game I can’t even navigate trough the menu because it is lagging so hard. Even in not so graphicly challenging games like valorant I get 2fps ingame at max. Even the Nvidia GeForce experience is lagging. I tried reinstalling the newest driver, I set battery mod to balanced, I selected the my Nvidia as graphic card in Nvidia control panel and in windows graphic setting. GPU and CPU are also not working over 20%, GPU is working at around 210MHz and the temps are normal. I really don’t know what to do, please help 🙏🏻

AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX, 8 Cores, 16 Threads

16GB DDR5


NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Notebook GPU

    If your Nitro AN515-46-R56G laptop is still under warranty send it to Acer support and don't try to do anything, as these AMD CPU laptops are buggy and some of the AMD drivers don't do anything to improve their performance, so be aware of that. Update the bios to the last bios update as the video firmware version 1.00a is not for your RTX3070, as that is the only thing that could assist in improving performance with the AMD hardware. as you have done everything else that is possible, otherwise your laptop has hardware problems with the GPU or CPU or PSU of its components to perform to their full specs.

    Hi Steven, thank you very much for answering. So it should still have warranty. If it does do you think I should first try to update the bios or try to send it back instantly ?
