The most important is the buget? How much do you want to spend as just saying for gaming means nothing without a monetary amount.

Asking that in a community for a particular PC brand will probably yield biased advice, building your own gaming rig or portability are main considerations for going for a Desktop or laptop. What OS, Apple, Linux or Windows, find out the cons and pros and costs. If you move around a lot, you want a rugged laptop preferably with a metal chassis and hinge assembly (expensive).

you should compare the latest PC models in Benchmark and reviews, learn the differences between 12th generation AMD and Intel CPUs (costs are similar) and GPUs (big differences). Acer offers good budget gaming laptops that probably needs more RAM and storage that you need to add to the purchase price. Asus is more expensive than Acer, but they make their own motherboards with more advanced technology like cooling (liquid metal). Screen quality is another important aspect in costs and expectations, a smaller size panel has better resolution, even OLED for under $1,000 (high end business laptop). A cheaper large TN 300 nits panel may be OK for gaming but not for HDR or graphics design. Most laptops have Thunderbolt4 PD for at least 2 USB-C ports, but some laptop models still use only the barrel type power adapter and that is important. Do you want an integrated or dedicated GPU (or both with a MUX switch) important in the price for any PC.

IMO, depending on where you live and buy the PC, a rule of thumb is that any laptop below $1,000 is considered an entry-level gaming laptop but is a good business laptop. After Sales Support is important, some brands have very poor support outside the USA, Acer support is considered very good also abroad.

Yeah, we are obviously going to suggest Acer models. The budget gaming boxes are the Nitro series, the higher performance ones are the Predator. You likely want to steer clear of the consumer and business designs like the Aspire and Veriton class.
