Bought Nitro 50 620 in February 2023. Been working fine up to the other day. All of a sudden when booting all I get is a loud sound. In checking different things, I find that the original SSD slot is the problem. Moved the SSD to the other slot and all works fine. Had to disable Boot Manager as every time I boot, it goes not go to the SSD to boot.

Try changing the SATA mode to AHCI in BIOS (boot to BIOS with F2 and press Ctrl+S to see the SATA mode). If the SSD is SATA and not NVMe it may not work in that PCIe slot. You should not have to disable the Boot Manager with a new PC.

Return it to the retailer or bring the desktop to Acer Services in your country to check that loud sound and the SSD booting issue.

Just in addition, in the BIOS > Advanced section you have a section called NVMe Device port 1 and 2 - Shows information on devices connected to the M.2 PCIe SSD, see if that recognizes your M.2 boot drive (btw the M.2 boot port is at #24 in caption below) if it doesn't then the Onboard SATA Controller and the Onboard SATA Mode is set wrongly, see if changing these settings will recognize your M.2 drive, if it doesn't then your M.2 drive is faulty or the slot is faulty.

Thank you. In checking your layout, the SSD was in #2, not #1 which is the way I received it from the store. In looking at your information and the Bios area, I now have it in #1 slot. Will go back and activate Boot manager and see what happens.

As for the other helpers comment, F2 does not bring up the Setup screen on this system, Delete does and the F1 for the rest. Thank you also
