Much loved S7 will not turn on. I tried pressing power for 30 seconds, then tried paper clip in pinhole and pressing power button for 60 seconds but will not turn on. No light on in power indicator. Has anyone had this issue and fixed it?

The battery (2014) may have a dead cell blocking the adapter power supply. Alternatively the 9-year-old power adapter is broken or has a bad DC plug. Check the voltage (19 VDC) at the DC adapter plug with a multimeter, see if the adapter DC plug inserts properly in the barrel port of the laptop, do you feel a click when fully inserting the plug? If all this checks out and the battery was replaced recently, open the laptop and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard. Take out the CMOS coin battery and check the voltage (3 VDC) with the multimeter, shorten the +/- contacts inside the CMOS housing with a bended paperclip, this will reset BIOS, replace the (new?) coin battery with the + sign up and close the CMOS housing. locate and reseat the RAM DDR3 module, make sure the DDR3 module is fully inserted in the slot. Press the Power Button on the keyboard for one minute (don't toggle) and close the back of the laptop. Plug-in the adapter and try to boot without the battery, if that works, connect the battery and try to boot without the adapter then plugged-in. This should tell you if the battery is still good. You also may have a bad DDR3 module, try another 8GB? DDR3.
