Hi

I am looking to upgrade the wireless network card for my laptop Aspire F 15 (F5-573G-71GR), I am looking for something with 2 gbps connection speed.

  1. Can someone let me know what is it that I should check before buying a compatible network card ?
  2. Please also suggest a compatible wireless network card for my laptop.

The F5-573G Acer fitted Wi-Fi/BT v4.2 card, its a 2.4/5GHz wireless type, and you need a Board Form Factor of a type: M.2 2230, M.2 1216 the F5-573G Wi-Fi runs at a Max Speed of 433 Mbps (see the list of the cards in the caption below) as those are from the F5-573Gs SG.

Fitting a card like the Intel AC 9560 Wi-Fi/BT v5.1 that has Bands: 2.4/5 GHz (160 MHz) which the F5-573G board specs will not reach, and this card runs at Max Speed: 1.73 Gbps (which is 4 times faster) and its Board Form Factor: M.2 2230, M.2 1216.

Keep to the oem Wi-Fi/BT specs cards like below, as upgrading your card will do nothing.

No, your Aspire F5-573G-71GR is limited to what the Wi-Fi/BT cards above speeds are, you need the modern laptops like the Nitro, Predator and/or Aspire laptops that have Wi-Fi/BT cards like for example and like the Killer AC1650i Wi-Fi/BT card that is the same Board Form Factor of M.2 2230, M.2 1216 and have a max speed of 2.4 Gbps which your laptop will never ever reach or handle this high speed. If you want to reach the 2Gbps plus speeds get a new laptop.

    1. Will there be any increase in the speed if I put any of the cards mentioned by you. I am asking because my network service provider provides 2 gbps speed which is never reached due to my laptop's limitation.
    2. Are there any other specs that I need to check before purchasing a card apart from the "Board Form Factor: M.2 2230, M.2 1216."?
