Hello, I just bought a Nitro AN517-54-98YU, he had no OS and a simple 500gb SSD in it, I added 2x500gb SSD (one in sata and the other in m.2), every SSD should be working.

So I tried installing windows 11pro in the main SSD(the one I didn't install by myself), disabled VMD controller in bios, booted my USB drive to install windows, works fine, unplug the usb drive and no bootable device.

All 3 SSD are recognised by the bios in "main" tab, but none is listed in "boot" and I cannot change UEFI to legacy note disable secure boot (they are in black), I tried to find a solution but didn't find anything,

Please help I just got this laptop I don't want to refund it.

Finally made it by trying every idea I could have and by converting one of my disks with diskpart and installing windows 11 on it it somehow worked.

  • This problem occurs, when the efi boot partition gets corrupted, blocking windows from booting.

    Hello!!

    @Midir

You can try to do the BIOS reset to check if that makes any difference.

How do I reset my BIOS/UEFI to default settings?

    1. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, or until your system shuts completely down.
    2. Power on the system.
    3. Press F9 and then Enter to load the default configuration.
    4. Press F10 and then Enter to save and exit.

If that doesn't work then you can try to do a reset to check if that makes any difference.

How Factory Reset Your PC using Acer Reset key

    1. Press the Power key for 5 seconds to power off Acer computer completely. Then restart the computer and press Alt + F10 when its logo shows up.
    2. Select Troubleshoot > Reset your PC.
    3. Click Next, then select Just remove my files.
    4. Press Reset to begin the recovery.

NOTE: You will loose all the data during the reset.

When in BIOS in the Main tab, press Ctrl+S to see the SATA mode, if this is set to RST Optane (Acer default) change that to AHCI. Save settings and exit BIOS.
