Acer Spin 3 N19W2 - how do I get Ethernet USB 3.0 adapter to work?

Hi,

I have an Acer Spin 3 N19W2. I've been using an Ethernet USB-V adapter. However, the power port is loose and I want to switch to a power supply that uses the only USB-C port on my laptop.

I thought the power supply was the issue and replaced it with a new one, but the connection is still loose. So now I want to use a USB-C power supply.

But there's only one USB-C port, and I've been using it for the Ethernet adapter.

I have a USB 3.0 Ethernet adapter, but it doesn't work unless I connect it to a USB 3.0-to-USB-C adapter. Do the USB 3.0 ports on this laptop Acer Spin 3 N19W2 not support Ethernet??

Your Spin 3 N19W2 is referenced by this number as a Spin 3 - SP314-21-xxxx or SP314-21N-xxxx as the N19W2 number is not used. If you look at the sticker that has your serial number, you should see the full model number of your laptops there. This laptop has a Wi-Fi/BT card inside which is the LITEON - WIFI 2X2 AC+ BT M.2 QCA NFA344A MU-MIMO, why would you want to use a USB LAN adaptor as it uses up the USB-C or a normal 3.2 Gen 1 port. Use the internally fitted wireless Bluetooth card as its more convenient and more portable. If you really want to use a LAN cable, then buy an adaptor with a USB 3.2 Gen1 as that is the next fastest port that you have and these LAN RJ45 to USB 3.2 adaptors are available.

The USB specs for this laptop are the following:

The USB LAN cable should have either included drivers or a link for the drivers. It should work fine once the drivers for it are installed.
