Spin 714 (cp714-2w-5682) doesn't sleep when lid is closed while plugged in.

My brand-new Spin 714 won't go to sleep when I close the lid if the AC was/is plugged in.

If the unit has been plugged in during or after booting, it pretty much never goes to sleep when the lid is closed afterwards.

What's worse, if you start it up without being plugged in, sleep it via lid close, and plug it in while it sleeps, it'll crash and not auto-reboot.

The only way to get back to stable behavior is to do the "power button + reload key" action. After that, it'll sleep when the lid is closed - as long as you never plug it in.

Is there an already-known fix for this, or do I need to take this back to the store I bought it from yesterday?

Having a laptop that doesn't turn itself off when the lid is closed is unacceptable. I can't trust this in my backpack - what other on-board sensors doesn't it not pay attention to?
