AN515-44 black screen when installing NVME

My system is experiencing a black screen when turning it on with a ADATA SX6000 pro though it does turn on when the NVME is not plugged in.

Is there a way to make it work with the NVME plugged in? Many thanks!

Try swapping ports, that port may not support the ADATA M.2, also try it without the heatsink maybe the housing is causing a bad port connection..

Hey puraw, thanks for tge suggestion. I've tried the swapping ports and it still returning a black screen.

Also, the heatsink is also removed because the casing already has a heat pad.

This is the Nitro AN515-44s storage specs and what M.2 SSD drives Acer fits into this laptop oem, the M.2 SSD spec type drives are PCIe 3 x4 SSD drive types of the following capacities and model numbers:

    1. 1TB - WDC N8SP4 - SDBPNPZ-1T00-1014
    2. 512GB - WDC N8SP4 - SDBPNPZ-512G1014
    3. 512GB - HYNIX N8SP4 - HFM512GDJTNI82A0A
    4. 265GB - WDC N8SP4 - SDBPNPZ-256G1014
    5. 256GB - HYNIX N8SP4 - HFM256GDJTNI82A0A

The ADATA SX 6000 Pro is 100% compatible PCIe 3x4 type M.2 SSD drive and should 100% work with your laptop in its M.2 SSD mainboard boot slot #1. Also, and fitting this drive into the 2nd M.2 SSD slave slot will greatly reduce its speed as the 2nd M.2 SSD slot runs at PCIe 3x2 which has a max speed of read/write of 2000MB/s which will reduce your PCIe 3x4 to 50% of its speed, so be aware of that.

The problems that you might be having are the following so check the following out, you have something wrong with your laptops #1 M.2 SSD boot slot (but if it works 100% with the Acer PCIe 3x4 fitted M.2 SSD then there should be no problem with the M.2 SSD mainboard slot) or the new ADATA SX 6000 Pro M.2 SSD drive is faulty. There is no way that an M.2 SSD boot slot #1 will work with the Acer oem M.2 SSD fitted drive and not work with a brand new ADATA SX 6000 PCIe 3x4 drive which is exactly the same type drive, as then its defiantly the ADATA SX 6000 Pro that is faulty, so get it replaced.
