Aspire 3 won't turn on, but power indicator flashes after serveral presses

After getting the loose hinge of my laptop fixed, it wouldn't turn. After opening it up I discovered the guy who fixed the hinge forgot to reconnect the HDD to the motherboard. Alas, after reconnecting the HDD it still wouldn't turn on

Basically if I plug in the charger the solid blue light turns on indicating a full charge. When I try pressing the power button nothing happens, but after several successive presses the power indicator turns on and off quickly.

I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting everything, resetting bios, and using the battery reset button at the button of the laptop and nothing seems to be working.

How can I fix this ?

Your assistance would really be appreciated

I suggest bringing your laptop to Acer Services in your country to check problem.

What is the exact model number of your Aspire 3 laptop, it should be written on a back sticker of your laptop and it should be something like A314 or 315-xx-xxxx, as its a bit hard to give you any accurate advice if you just say "Aspire 3 won't turn on" 😁NK_0 you have to realise that there are hundreds of different Aspire 3 models.

Anyway, this problem with power and especially if you had someone fix a hinge or repace a hinge, they could have damaged the DC jack port and its cable, or and as there are critical power circuitries next to the hinge, they could have shorted a mosat(s) of the power stage that is within the vicinity of the hinge, hence and why your laptop won't turn on. Have a technician look at that part of your laptop so that he can analyze all the circuitries within that area and check the power stage of your laptop, and make sure that no components are burnet out or shorted, as that is where your problem is.

This is an example of an Aspire 3 A315-59 laptop caption of and around the hinge area where the DC Jack Port is, which is on the Left side of the laptop
