Hi all

I recently had a problem with my touchpad from the i2c hid device not working but it got fixed to a windows update. Now as of today the touchpad stopped working again so i decided to install the synaptic driver (it gave me both options for synaptic and elan) from acers driver page for my laptop specifically the i2c hid device icon disappeared but my touchpad still wont work. Its not the f7 key cause I've tried that.

Any suggestions would be great on how to get it back working ?

Uninstall both Touchpad drivers and the 12C HID device with Device Manager and if you see any Unknown Devices or yellow exclamation marks (check Hidden Devices too) uninstall all those too. Make sure you are connected to the internet and reboot, Windows will install the correct 12C HID and Microsoft Precision software for your Touchpad, If the Fingerprint sensor is not working in Hello you can download the driver from Acer Support (if you use Fingerprint in Hello)
