Can I charge my laptop AN515-57-51RC that was brought from Japan here in Philippines?

Hello people! So recently my aunt from Japan brought an Acer AN515-57-51RC from Japan, I am aware that Japan uses less Voltage compared to Philippines(Japan-100V;PH-220V), I am currently using a voltage regulator now for charging my laptop. My question is can I charge directly my laptop here in Philippines? Because when I look at my charger it says that (Input: 100-240V), and I don't think that my model is a Japanese version. Thank you for the answers!

The power plugs and outlets used in the Philippines are types A, B, and C1. Most electrical outlets in the Philippines are non-grounded two-pronged outlets of either type A (North American standard) with two flat parallel pins, or type C (European style) with two round pins2. The Philippines operates on a 220V supply voltage and 60Hz. So, the Acer oem provided adaptor/charger power supply will work perfectly with the Philippines types A, B, and C1power supply. If your laptops adaptor was charging in Japan where the standard voltage is 100 volts and the frequency is 50Hz or 60 Hz and the electrical outlets in Japan are the type A, with two flat plugs, similar to the United States also, then it will work perfectly in the Philippines.

Note: The Nitro AN515-57 adaptor adjusts to the input voltage power that its written on the adaptor at an INPUT - 100-240 volts at 50Hz or 60Hz, this is written clearly on the adaptor:

    • INPUT - 100 to 240V ~ 1.9A 50-60Hz
    • OUTPUT - 19.5V /6.92A / 135W or 19.5V / /9.23A / 180W

Yes, you can charge your laptop AN515-57-51RC in the Philippines. The laptop model you mentioned, AN515-57-51RC, is typically designed to support a wide range of voltage inputs, including the standard voltages used in different countries. Japan typically uses a voltage of 100 volts, while the Philippines uses a voltage of 220 volts.

Most laptops are built with a universal power supply that can handle different voltages, usually between 100 volts and 240 volts. This means you can safely connect and charge your laptop in the Philippines without any issues.
