Predator Helios 300 turned off on its own and won't turn back on

I have two Predator Helios 300's for my two boys. They were both on their laptops, when my youngest son's suddenly turned off and would not turn back on, we'll call it laptop A. We checked all the connections and even switched power blocks. Both blocks worked with laptop B, but not with laptop A. I then held the power button on laptop A for 1 minute and waited over night until we tried powering it on. We held the power button until the count of 30 and it didn't turn on. On a side note, we sometimes we have to hold down the power button on both laptop A and B for a long time for them to power up. It can take 30 seconds or more.

I then took off the back of laptop A. I unplugged the battery and plugged it back in. Laptop A still did not turn on. I decided to swap batteries to see if that would work. I put laptop B's battery in laptop A. It did not turn on. I put laptop A's battery in laptop B. Laptop B did not turn on, so battery A does not have a charge. I'm not sure if it will take one as I didn't try. I put battery B back in laptop B and powered it up.

What could have caused laptop A to completely shut down, drain the battery, and not turn on with a charged battery?

Do the Power Drain and Reset battery procedures described in many posts on this forum in the last 4 weeks. There is a pinhole in the back of the laptop that you insert with a pin to reset the battery, push the pin till you feel the micro-switch click and hold it down for a minute.

If that did not fix it, you will have to open up the laptop which will void the Acer warranty. If there are no warranty concerns, disconnect the battery, take the CMOS coin battery out, shorten the +/- contacts inside the CMOS housing, put the coin battery back in with the + sign up and press the power button (don't toggle) for 2 full minutes. Also check the RAM modules, reseat, push The DDR4 modules firmly back in the slots and close the Ram slot bracket till you hear a loud click. Finally reconnect the battery.
The battery may also have died, create a battery report with the Command Prompt: powercfg /batteryreport
If the last full charge capacity of the battery is far less than the initial or Design Charge capacity, you need to replace the battery.
