Acer Aspire E5-722G-66k1 - no wifi driver after Windows install

This is a mystery. On this laptop of my friend there was a corrupted SSD (many bad block and read errors in windows event log) so I decided it needs a new disk drive. I am trying to install Windows 10 on it, but it has a few devices without driver installed and there is just no wifi device at all! On the previous system the network devices also got corrupted and stopped working (system is configuring classes code 56)

But on the new system on new drive there is only Realtek PCIe GbE Family controller and this Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 is not listed there at all! I tried installing all windows updates but there seems to be nothing related to wifi.

I have tried installing driver from Acer, but there is 6 different versions and I don't know which one it is! But it seems none of them works and this Qualcomm is a built-in Microsoft driver anyway and should be installed automatically!

I have downloaded Wireless LAN_Atheros_10.0.0.326_W10x64_A.zip and installed, but during installation it said "it is possible that the device is not connected or was removed from the system or unplugged". So this seems like a hardware problem or some cable is not connected inside… I will try to see or let service look at it.

Hi @McVitas It may be an internal problem with the device even though it appears to be well connected.
Can you please right click on the device and tell me the error ID it shows?

    Thank you.
    All the best.

    @McVitas

The best and easy solution for the issue is getting a external usb wireless adapter. It is also cheap and easy to install. It is a plug and play device. After connecting it to usb port then you can connect to wireless.

If you dont want to buy it then you can try installing the chipset driver and then install the wireless driver one by one and check.

Kindly follow the details given below

    Try windows x
Go to device manager - Go to Network adapter. Expand it
Uninstall the wireless driver from device manager if you find any driver with ! mark or x mark .  Don’t restart the computer.
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers
Install the wireless driver one by one. If it is not allowing you to install successfully leave that and install the next wireless driver. Please install the chipset driver before installing the wireless driver

Can you go online with a LAN cable (Ethernet connection)? If that is possible, uninstall all the drivers with a yellow exclamation mark in Device manager and the WIFI driver, make sure your internet is working and reboot, Windows10 will reinstall the correct drivers.
