Greetings!)

I am facing an intresing issue with my predator pt515-52.

My laptop stuck on Predator loading screen.

If I am trying to go through BIOS it takes like 10 minutes to load it and 10 additional minutes to go to advanced mode.

My first thoug was to load from external storage update BIOS (current V1.10), recover an old windows version etc.

But the problem is that I keep getting "Defaul Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed" error after 20 minutes of loading.

I tried to load from a different USB flash drive, change boot order but still facing the same error.

Maybe someone have an idea whats going on and how to solve it?

Thanks in advance

Reset BIOS: Boot to BIOS with F2 and press F9 (reset) safe settings on exit and try to reboot. Press Alt+F10 as soon as you get the Acer or Predator logo screen. You will see the Repair blue screen go to the Troubleshoot menu and click on Advanced>Reset this PC. If you cannot boot to BIOS or Alt+F10 does not work, try the reset procedure with a pin in the pinhole at the back of your laptop, or Hard Reset by disconnecting the battery, reset CMOS (and BIOS) and reseat the DDR modules. Finally press the Power Button down for 1 minute and reconnect the battery. These methods have been described in great detail on this forum. If none of this works you have a boot drive HW issue or corrupted bootloader, best to bring/send your laptop to Acer Services in your country to reinstall OEM Windows.

    Thanks for a good advices.

I tried everything listed above and got the same result.

Howewer it's pretty strange that it tooks long, but the BIOS loads , unlike the trouble shutting menu - don't.

My luck to have this issue appears just the next month after warranty period:)

Hence, it fills like it's going to be cheaper to buy a new one than repair one in Germany.

Acer should still honor the warranty after 1 month, give it a try it may just need a BIOS reset and bootloader repair. A small service fee of $25 is charged for that.
