Which CPUs are compatible with a Gateway NE56R07m laptop?
Hi, I have the aforementioned laptop in my question and I'd like to know which CPUs can I install on it.
Mine curently has an i3 2348m and I'd like to upgrade it to the best possible CPU that the motherboard can support.
I know it's an old laptop but it's still pretty useful to this day and I want to squeeze a little bit more out of it.
I'm making this question because my research on the topic is very inconclusive as some people say the i7 3632QM is compatible but it seems that the laptop is unable to boot.
There's another bunch of CPUs i could try but I'm not sure which ones would work.

This laptop comes with the Socket G2 Pentium B960 CPU the most appropriate CPU upgrade imo is for you to upgrade to the Core i7-2620M, to see your laptops oem specs see here Acer Gateway NE56R B960 Notebook, also upgrade the 2.5" SATA III HDD to a 2.5" SATA III SSD and if you don't have 8GB total RAM then upgrade to 2x 4GB DDR3-1600MHz modules, as doing all these upgrades will make your Gateway NE56R07m laptop perform to its ultimate performance.
