Hi all,

Around two months ago, my keyboard randomly stopped working (I have been using an external keyboard since, but I wont be able to bring the entire setup to school). At first, only around half the keys didnt work, but a few days later the entire keyboard stopped working. I first tried taking one of the keycaps off to ensure there was no debris, and I can confirm that it was clean. I also tried reinstalling the standard ps/2 driver, still to no avail.

I originally assumed that the problem was that my friend stepped on my closed laptop, because the keyboard stopped working a few hours later, but upon further thought I wasnt sure how likely that was.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

My Part number is NHQ3YAA001XXXX

Thanks for the help.

Acer only has an upper keyboard assembly which is their part # 6B.QXXXX,XXX numbers, the part number you have above is another number that you can search for this upper keyboard assembly. A replacement reference for the Nitro laptops and the AN515-53 is available in many languages, below is what they have for the US International keyboard:

Best is for you to search on eBay and Amazon for just the keyboard replacement for the AN515-53 laptop and change the keyboard only.
