Hi,

My device doesn't charge and turn on. When my AC adapter is connected to the device, it doesn't charge, the led diodes of turning on and charging don't light.

I checked my AC adapter and it should work because the output voltage is the same like on the adapter's sticker.

I also tried reset the battery by the pinhole but it also doesn't work.

Is there an other way to repair except what I tried?

  • Hey! When the computer doesn't turn on and the LEDs don't light up, you have to check the primary voltages and the primary pwm. It's voltages of 3 and 5v that always have to show up as soon as you plug in the power adapter. If these voltages do not appear, the notebook will not turn on.

If this is the 2022 model the warranty may still be valid and you should not open up the back. There is a remote chance that the batter is bad, but it is more likely a bad connection or a RAM module failure. I suggest bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country to check that. If the warranty already expired, you can open the back (use a precision laptop screwdriver) and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard, reseat the DDR modules, press the Power Button for a minute and replace the back of the laptop (leave the battery disconnected). See if the laptop will boot with the power adapter only.
