A715-43G brand new Aspire 7 audio not working anymore

Hello everyone,

I just bought an Aspire 7 laptop and at first everything was fine, but now both my microphone and speakers are not working anymore, sometimes they seem to be detected for a split second and then it disappears again. I tried deleting the audio devices in the device manager, using the troubleshooting tool and so on but no luck. Any idea of what I can do to fix this very annoying issue? Thank you!

    Hi Alejandro,

    No, except Camtasia I guess. I am trying to go to Services and start "Audio Windows" but there is an error 1067, it won't start. The devices sometimes briefly appear and then disappear again.

    Error 1607 can indicate corrupted, deleted, or infected files.

    Please download the following Microsoft scanner first, it will not install, just run it and select the short method first.
    Subsequently, the length that can take a few hours:

    If the computer is not infected or if it is, you have already cleaned those files, apply the following debugging method:

    NOTE: Do I use any cleaning application such as "Cleaner"? These types of applications are not recommended.

    Hello Alejandro,

    Thank you, I downloaded this tool and ran a full scan, there are no viruses. This computer is brand new I have been using it for about a week or so. I think it might be some hardware issue, unless it is a driver that is too new and needs to be rolled back. I have also opened a ticket with Acer Support, I guess I might have to send the computer to their repair center. I also had an issue with my brand new previous Acer last time (a different one), I always had Acers but not sure I will continue doing so :-(

    Do I also run the system file checker tool in Windows?

    In any case, if Acer checks your equipment, please comment on how the problem evolves.

    I haven't but I have called Acer and I'm going to send my laptop to their repair center. I will let everyone knows what the problem was once they tell me.
