Hello, my Aspire 1 A114-33-C9TX laptop has been having many issues with screen flashing and it says windows repair failed etc. It's brand new from officeworks, but I thought instead of me sending it back, I will try and install windows 10 instead, as I see there are drivers on your website.

When I went to install windows 10, I accidently deleted the recovery partition. Can I please have a file I can download to reinstall it?

also how come your most important links on your acer website are all broken. For example

Acer - Live Chat says:
https://service.acer.com/chat/support/en/US/

Press on the support tab, then Drivers & Manuals the whole screen is CODE !DOCTYPE html> html class="no-js" lang="en-AU"> head> meta charset="UTF-8" /> meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no" /> <title>Custom 404 Not Found | My Site</title> <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/icon?family=Material+Icons" rel="stylesheet"> <!-- <title>Custom 404 Not Found | My Site</title> --> <meta name="robots" content="max-image-preview:large"> <link rel="icon" type="image/x-icon" href="/favicon-acer.ico" /> <link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.gstatic.com"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Noto+Sans:wght@400;700&display=swap"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://static.acer.com/system/assets/css/main.css?v=V_1_4_1" /> <script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/objectFitPolyfill@2.3.0/dist/objectFitPolyfill.min.js"></script> <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/object-fit-images/3.2.4/ofi.min.js" integrity="sha512-7taFZYSf0eAWyi1UvMzNrBoPVuvLU7KX6h10e4AzyHVnPjzuxeGWbXYX+ED9zXVVq+r9Xox5WqvABACBSCevmg==" crossorigin="anonymous"></script> <script src="https://polyfill.io/v3/polyfill.min.js?features=Object.values%2CObject.entries%2Cfetch%2Cdefault%2CIntersectionObserver"></script> <script>const vids = [];</script> <script src="https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js" async="" defer=""></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="//s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js#pubid=ra-6010138965588ac3" async="async"></script> <script src="https://www.youtube.com/iframe_api"></script> #####################################
The only way I can get drivers is if I register my device, sign in, then I can. It's annoying. I cannot seem to get the drivers to work for wireless, how come it has 5 different wireless drivers? how am I supposed to know which is what? I installed them all, and still it won't work :( Your Acer Care Center does NOT work either on windows 11, and there has not been an update for it since 2022.
I honestly don't think I will be going with Acer again. I expected a better experience.

    First of all, this is not Acer Support but an Acer community for users like you, sharing experiences with Acer devices. Second, there is no such thing as a "Bootable Recovery Image" for Acer PCs. After you clean installed Windows10 S mode you reboot and let Windows install the drivers, I don't believe that S mode will allow downloading other than from the Microsoft Store.

    The Acer Drivers & Manuals site has been hard to get onto especially from Australia where you are and I am, the only way that I can get onto the Acer Drivers & Manuals site is to use the Tor Project | Download browser, as MS Edge is absolutely hopeless so is Google and Firefox as I always get this erros below.

    Do a clean install of Win-11 as the Aspire 1 A114-33-C9TX comes with Win-11 and not Win-10. Install Win-11 from the Microsoft site and make an installation USB drive as after the install and the Wi-Fi/BT drivers for your card will be installed automatically on your laptop with your Microsoft account (if you have registered). Try that as there is no bootable recovery image as this Aspire comes oem with Windows 11 Home in S mode that also can be Switching out of S mode in Windows - Microsoft Support so try that also.

    Thank you Puraw & StevenGen.

    I previously had windows 11 S, but I opted out since the screen was flickering due to a driver issue. The only way to roll back was to opt out. I reinstalled many times but as soon as I connected it to the internet, it would automatically download the newest updates/drivers.

    I contacted support, but they never replied so I had to try and repair it myself. At the time my home network got compromised with malware, and so I bought this laptop as a “safe” device to quickly change all my passwords using a 4g dongle.

    I’ll now reinstall it using windows 11 home, and see how I go with it. I just wish they would fix up the Acer support website, it’s something very important not to have. I’m grateful to have this Acer community and your support :)
