predator neo 16 PHN16-71-73LT After clean install drivers are missing

I recently got a predator neo 16 (PHN16-71-73LT), and after I did a clean install, the audio driver is gone, the driver for touchpad is gone, and probably a lot more gone. How do I install them back? Or am I forever doomed for downgrading back to Windows 10 for stability?

You never ever downgrade a high end gaming laptop like the Predator PHN16-71 that was designed specifically for Win-11 to Win-10 as this laptop will not work and it hasn't got all the drivers to work 100% with Win-10, also where did you get the idea that Win-11 is NOT stable? Also how did you do the Clean Install of Win-11, as you need to completely format the boot drive and then install the IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver to format and continue the Win-11 installation.

Anyway, those missing drivers that you have listed above are on the Acer Drivers & Manuals Predator PHN16-71 page, so download these missing drivers from there. What I would suggest is that you also install the latest NVidia graphics driver for the RTX4060 GPU from the NVidia site, install the GeForce Experience software to utilize the best NVidia gamming settings and install the Intel Driver Support scan as all these additional sites will install newer drivers than what Windows Update installs for your Win-11 OS and the laptop. As the addition of all these drivers will make your top end gaming Predator PHN16-71-73LT laptop with its 165Hz IPS – Intel 13th Gen i7 – GeForce RTX 4060 - 16GB DDR5 – 1TB SSD perform to its peak performance.

I've installed drivers from that page, but for example the touchpad still doesn't work. And yes I also have the Nvidia drivers and Intel scan, but none of those helped me detect neither the audio driver nor the touchpad driver is missing.

That’s impossible, all the Predator PHN16-71 Acer drivers will work 100% and the audio should work as well, the touchpad and audio drivers for your laptop are installed automatically when Win-11 installs, you must have done something wrong with the Win-11 clean install, try again as the touchpad and audio drivers are all installed by windows through its installation automatically.

When you do the clean install, you need to completely delete the boot drive and then install the IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver so that the laptop recognizes the M.2 boot drive and then format the boot drive, then continue the Win-11 installation and do all the windows updates, Nvidia new graphics updates and the Intel new scan for newer Intel drivers, as the audio and the touchpad drivers should be installed through the initial Win-11 installation, if you didn’t have the touchpad driver installed then you wouldn’t be able to move the cursor through the Win-11 installation.

    Sorry man not impossible.

So aggravated with my 16-71 that I'm poking all the threads with same type issue as mine. Maybe someone can help.
I'm not new to rebuilding pc's. I know to check for correct formats of both the device and the partitions. I know to collect the drivers from the makers sites. I have OLD versions of the operating system and the latest. Know how to make both dvd and usb installers. HOWEVER this laptop has been a P.I.T.A. since I received it. SO glad I just traded a Dell for it.

I am trying to do a clean install of windopes 11 here. Heck I'd be willing to 10 it and upgrade from there.
Have ALL the drivers from https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/product-support/Predator_PHN16-71/downloads?suggest=PHN16-71;1
Windopes 11 or 10 can't find the right drivers for my Predator PHN16-71 to install on any of the ssd's I have tried internally. Even up graded the bios to 16.something.
BIOS shows the ssd's installed on the board. However none will work.
Yes tried GUID partition table. Everything is formatted correctly.
But the ONLY way windopes recognizes ANY hdd at all is if it's attached via one of the usb or usb C ports.
I have even gone so far as to do a complete install in both another older asus laptop and a dell close to same gen processor. Pulled the ssd's and tried them in the Pred. Only way it boots is if the SSD is external.
Hell I can run the laptop via external drive all day. But will not work at all from internal ssd . REGARDLESS of format or which bay is used. There being 2 locations found on the MB.
Linux IS my preferred OS branch. I have installed multiple flavors of Linux and have had no issues with the installs. Just windopes 11 and 10 do NOT want to see any ssds attached internally, and don't "like" to be installed to external hdds.
This is making me want to toss this nice laptop. But I'll likely end up giving up eventually and run something Linuxy on it.
Again the bios DOES show it whenever I have ssd's in the bays. BUT windopes seems to REFUSE to see anything except for external. WILL even boot from external.

If you traded the whatever your Acer 16-71 (as that is NOT a full model number) but if you are talking about the PHN16-71 and you swapped it for a Dell, its useless to even talk about the problems that you had, as the PHN16-71 which I'm also using works perfectly and never ever had any of the problems you listed above.

My PHN16-71 has had a clean install of Win-11 24H2 and its windows updates to the last OS build: 26100.3194. Also this laptop is NOT a Win-10 laptop and you will have driver problems with that OS. On the formatting and the SSD that does not happen this as a new laptop and all that is happening to your PHN16-71., as I've upgrade my PHN16-71 to a Samsung 990 Pro NVMe + Heatsink as a boot drive and the ram to 64GB DDR5-4800MT/s CL40 and my PHN16-71 works perfectly, speedily and never ever misses a beat.

I don't know if you bought your PHN16-71 new, refurbished or used, but with all the problems that you have detailed above, you must have got a faulty PHN16-71 as a new laptop does not have so many faults out of the box. Good luck and enjoy your Dell, hopefully you bought it new?

Guess I did not state it accurately? But am relieved to have just given a Dell for this almost useless paper weight. I also figured as I had included a link to the product page with drivers ect. It would be "safe" to keep model info semi vague. MOST have been able figure the gist of things out from all provided info.
No not a new device. New to me. Glad YOU have not had issues with new out of the box devices. As I know that the world is full of people without the same luck. Hence the not new concept of getting on groups like this to seek advice. AND if one looks as I have. There are MANY that have had varied issues with this device.
I do thank you very much for your time and wonderful advice……
Have a nice day. Stay safe and be well.
