Acer Aspire E5-575 not allowing driver update

I'm trying to get the newest intel driver downloaded/updated on my laptop, as intel is the drivers that came on it, but when I go to update it, it says the current one is already the best for my laptop, however Intel does have newer versions on their site…but I try to go through them, and it says my laptop is locked in manufacture mode.

I'm really wanting to update my graphics driver so I can run my game smoother, but it won't let me do anything.

Not sure if it matters, but the game I'm trying to get to run smoother is Path of Titans. All of my other games run perfectly smooth, so long as the servers aren't absolutely full to the max, and while PoT can run, it lags pretty quickly, even on single player. The game even pops up saying it's recommended to update the drivers for a better experience.

You have a 7th Gen i3 CPU with Intel HD Graphics 620, this is a budget all round laptop, definitely not a gaming laptop. The correct driver for your GPU is:

    • 2018/06/15
    • Version:23.20.16.5038
    • Vendor: Intel

Well thats definitely not the driver I have. The one currently listed is "8/15/2018 - 24.20.100.6286"

And I know this laptop isnt technically a gaming laptop - but it works really well for the few games that I play on PC. I was gifted this laptop specifically for the fact I draw a lot, so i needed the storage space, but it does work really well for gaming from what ive done on it.
