See if you can run a full test and if it passes without error messages. Then report back for more hotkey reset combinations.

It gets to light sensors with PASS, then I get a black screen with a red frame and that's it.

When I click on square (running programs) it shows the FactoryKit and programs which were running before shutdown. I seem to have at least a limited control of the phone, as long there is no need for PIN. Most of the applications disappeared.

What did you do after this red frame appeared? You said nothing about a "square (running programs)" . Only a "red frame and that's it". It's hard for me to follow where you're at in the hotkey process.

Bottom of the screen has three icons, the left "arrow" is Go Back, middle "circle" is Go Home, right "square" shows running programs.

The black screen with red frame is what shows up in the Test, right after light sensors pass their test. That's as far as the FactoryKit test gets.

    I hope it helps.

Try to get back to the testing screen that you got by pressing POWER+VOLUMEDOWN the way you did it before. Then instead of choosing a test, press POWER+VOLUMEUP.

OK, we are getting somewhere. This time I powered off before Power+VolumeUP. I got a boot menu in such a small font, I had to take photo and enlarge it. Clicking VolumeUP would select different boot modes, VolumeDN would actually executed it. It displayed the Recovery menu. I did Wipe data/ Factory reset and I am in the business!

    Thank you, JackE!!

Congratulations on your success! Thanks for reporting back on the tiny fonts. This might help other folks. Maybe they can use a magnifying glass. I bet you can't wait to try changing PINS & PASSWORDS again!!! 😁
