    Hi all,

reading this thread with interest, maybe someone has some tips to point me in the right direction.

I have a CP713-1wn-53nf Chromebook, and my battery is worn down (60% capacity, cycle count ~420). So I ordered a replacement battery (AP1505L 31cp4/91/91) from one of the sites offering them, but after installing the Chromebook does not boot. It will not boot unless the charger is connected. When I boot with the charger there is no battery indicator in the display, also no battery diagnostics. It does seem to charge though, the charging light changed from orange to blue at some point.

I tried all the keyboard-fu, the only thing that happens is that the charging led quickly flashes blue/orange if I keep a key pressed and press the power button. But it won't boot.

When I put in the old battery everything works just fine again, so the charging circuits seem to be in order.

Is my replacement battery broken or is there something else I can try?

Sure sounds like you got either a bum battery or one that isn't actually compatible, even if it's the right size to fit.
