My Laptop came with Windows 8 preinstalled and I want to update the bios but I can't find the driver page for my laptop, it says the serial number and snid are incorrect but they are correct, I guess Acer thinks my Laptop doesn't exist anymore.

The V5-571P laptops came with two different bios types, the first and up to bios Version 1.20 is an MBR/Legacy type bios. The second type of bios that this laptop came with was the up to bios Version 2.18 UEFI/GUID (GPT) type bios. First establish which bios you have in your V5-571P laptop by searching the System Information > Baseboard Version within windows and establish which bios you have and update the bios type accordingly.

This laptops Acer Drivers & Manuals is at this link Acer Aspire V5-571P click on this link and go to BIOS/Firmware and install the last and appropriate bios version for Win-8.1 for your laptop, it’s a simple thing to do but make sure that you take all the bios update precautions and instructions to do a proper bios update as Acer warns every user that “Upgrading your system BIOS incorrectly could harm your Acer product. Please proceed with caution” so be careful as and if you brick your bios chip you will need to either get a technician to reprogram the chip[ or replace the chip, especially on old laptops like the Aspire V5-571G.
