Hi, I own a Nitro 5 515-57. I am currently using a Seagate 2TB HDD and wish to upgrade to a Samsung 870 EVO 2.5in SATA SSD 4TB. Will this work?

Thankyou for any help

Danny

YES, the Samsung 870 EVO 2.5in SATA SSD 4TB will work 100% and perfectly, but make sure that you format it in GUID (GPT) format as if you format it in MBR/legacy windows won’t recognize the drive as MBR/Legacy format has a limit of 2TB capacity.

Also be careful when you connect the SATA III cable to the motherboard pug, as the SATA III board plug is a cheap and nasty plug that can break and not clip the flat cable properly which will stop your laptop from booting if the SATA cable is not pugged in properly. That happened to me with my Nitro AN515-56 laptop.
