connect another brand chromebook to the Acer d501 isn't working

Hi,

From work, I got the Acer D501 as a docking station.

I'm using it with two monitors connected by DisplayPort cables.

This docking station works fine with the Acer Chromebook from work. I'm able to extend my screens on all 3 the screens.

sadly the D501 isn't working as well with other brand Chromebooks.

The two monitors are duplicated when I connect my personal Chromebook with the D501.

This means that all 3 of the screens work, but the monitors show the same information.

The docking station claims to work with Chrome, so that's why I expected that my personal Chromebook would work on the D501.

Is there something I can do to fix this?

I already tried using other types of cables and different DisplayPort cables.

Thanks in advanced

Is your home Chromebook on the latest OS version, or is too old for those updates?
